Hosting providers
Sell hosting accounts and virtual machines from the billing system you already use, and let Nodekeeper do the provisioning, customer access, quotas, suspension and clean-up on your servers — with each customer kept inside their own boundary.
Customer quotas, hosting API, WHMCS: Nodekeeper ships WHMCS modules for hosting accounts (nodekeeper) and for VPS (nodekeeperVps).
WHMCS stays your billing and customer system; Nodekeeper does the work on the servers.
| Step | What happened in the 2026-11-03 end-to-end test |
|---|---|
| Order → provision | A WHMCS order created the Nodekeeper account, linked to the WHMCS client; the action was audited |
| Single sign-on | The client-area button and WHMCS single sign-on both landed the customer in their own member panel |
| Customer self-service | The customer created a static site with FTP and a PHP-FPM site; the provider granted site SSH |
| Suspend | Sites answered “payment required”, FTP and SSH were refused, the site’s PHP pool and FTP service stopped, open panel sessions were logged out |
| Billing run | The hourly billing job left the suspended account suspended |
| Unsuspend | Everything came back |
| Terminate | Listeners, configuration, system users and processes were removed, SSH grants revoked, the customer’s API access refused |
Test record: release build 81fce3de6, test lab, driven through the WHMCS client area and the member panel. Details: product tour, topic 1.
Strong website isolation: every site runs as its own system user and group. In the same test, one customer’s attempts to reach another customer’s sites, files, tasks, SSH, FTP, backups, domains and logs were all refused.
Member accounts are in every plan. User groups, roles and delegated administration for your support staff start at Pro.
| Service | From plan | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Web hosting: sites, PHP / Java / Python, databases, FTP, site SSH, certificates, backups | Free | WHMCS automation needs Business |
| Self-hosted mail | Free | No built-in inbound spam filtering; outbound needs port 25 or a relay |
| CDN plans and traffic packages on your own edge nodes | Personal | CDN plans sold through WHMCS were verified on 2026-07-16; the HTTP/3 browser-fingerprint origin engine is Business |
| Virtual machines with automatic install and IP allocation | Pro | Capabilities differ by backend — see the backend table |
| Authoritative DNS and GeoDNS | Business | On lower plans, domains still bind to sites and get certificates |
| Distributed storage, VM HA, database replication | Business | See Infrastructure |
